New Organic Clothing Site Opens at My Go Green Clothing
Port Orange, FL (PRWEB) June 29, 2008 -- With the emphasis on shopping for "green" products getting so much media attention, environmentally friendly businesses have begun cropping up in unexpected places, providing quality products that are made from renewable resources. My Go Green Clothing is a new site specializing in organic clothing made from sustainable materials created through conscientious agriculture, and is poised to ride at the forefront of a burgeoning industry.
"I went to a trade show, and I noticed a lot of companies were focusing on organic clothing for their new products," says Carol Mahan, owner and operator of www.MyGoGreenClothing.com as well as a home embroidery business. "I started researching it, and found that these organic and natural products were really good things."
The site was a natural fit for Carol, and has proved to be as educational for her as it is for her customers. "I've always been interested in clothing," she admits. "I've studied design and sewing since my teens, so I've always had an interest in it -- it's part of me, I guess. With the new organic, natural, and bamboo products, I'm really getting interested in the entire subject, reading more and more about it. The bamboo products, for example, are really great; they keep you cooler as well as looking good. It's better for us, better for the Earth? it's just better."
Carol has also opened a blog to share her thoughts on the subject. www.MyGoGreenClothingBlog.com plays the companion role, providing an outlet for organic education and information exchange. "I'll be using my blog to spread the word on these lines," explains Carol. "Organic items, what they're doing for the planet, how everybody can help just by doing these little things and watching what they buy. These are products from working practices without sweat shops. It's just an all-around good environmental and positive impact on the Earth, and I'm just trying to help in my little way."
Carol is currently working on a second site for organic body and skin care products, created by a supplier that works with the community to encourage use of organic products and living more in tune with the environment.
