The Annual National Shopping Behavior survey by KPMG business advisory company noted that during the 2007 holiday season, against a backdrop of an overall slowdown of spending, a full 88% of respondents indicated that they were very concerned about the environment, 74% said they were happy to pay more for a "green" or organic product, and 55% said they would make a special effort to shop at "green" image stores. With environmental health being such a huge and unquestioned value in today's society, suppliers can do no wrong by energetically investing in the organic clothing market--they, the consumers, and the environment will all benefit.
